"Hm.." was all Lady could manage to get out as her eyes followed Dante across the room. 'Shit'. The woman complained silently. Well, at least now she knew where it was.
She was quickly running out of ideas that didn't involve degrading herself in any way in order to acquire the blade, and Lady would rather cut off her own arm than put Dante in any position that gave him leverage; so there was one last option.. "Do you want to go get a drink...?" Lady suggested, " I need to do something that doesn't involve monsters... " That was true; and maybe if she got him hammered enough she could easily convince him to hand Yamato over, or take it without him noticing, besides, with the day she was having, she could use a drink.

"Ya know, a drink sounds really good." Dante runs a hand through his hair. To say he was tired would be an understatement. Flying wasn't really his most favorite means of travel, which sucked because it was the quickest way to get to Fortuna Island.
He was damn tired, damn tired and thirsty. "Sounds like a good idea, lets go."

"Uhm...Alright.."Well that worked better than she had expected, a 'yes' was definitely not what she had anticipated; a witty remark of some sort, maybe. Blinking a few times Lady cleared her throat and forced herself to stand, taking a few steps away from the desk and towards the exit; stretching her arms high over her head, a yawn escaping in the process. It hadn't occurred to her how her invitation could be perceived and as she came to that realization she tensed up, her body coming to a halt suddenly, mere inches away from the door, her hand still on the handle as she turned her body to face Dante.
"And just so we're on the same page.. this is in no way, a 'date'. Is that clear?" said Lady, pointing an accusing finger at him as if she knew what he was thinking; because knowing Dante he would most likely find a way to use this later. Luckily, they didn't have to travel far, there was a bar right across the street, which was convenient, and also explained why the white haired Devil Hunter wad sloshed often times than not.

"Alright, alright...Your loss babe, you don't know how many women swoon over this." Leaning against the front door's frame, Dante crosses his arms over his chest and grins. He takes a hand and motions up and down himself. "Where're we headed? The same old place?" Of course he was referring to the bar a few blocks away. Not his favorite, but definitely not a place he disliked. The booze was good and the show was sometimes slightly more than mediocre.

"I bet.." Lady said rolling her eyes and making her way out of the front door. Dante was attractive, there was no doubt about that, but his ego and bad habits often overshadowed his better qualities. "And where else would we go? It's cheap and close by..Besides, the last thing I want to do is spoil you with some fancy place across town. I'm too used to you being cheap." Lady teased with a playful smile.
As they made their way to the bar Lady remained silent, too preoccupied with figuring out a decent plan of action to strike up any sort of 'interesting' conversation. Not that she disliked the silence, on the contrary, Dante just so happened to be one of the few people she could comfortably share silence with. Now, oddly enough, his twin brother being the other. When she could stand the boredom that came with the silence no longer, Lady spoke. " So...are you ever going to tell me what happened between you and brother?" She inquired softly, making sure to take extra precaution as this subject was a sensitive one. It was far from a 'casual' question, but her need to know was far too great.
The bar's neon sign coming into view and in no time she was standing inside a dark, crowded and somewhat dirty room, it wasn't her number one choice but it would do for now. Besides, it wasn't as if she and the Devil Hunter were incapable of defending themselves from anyone who happened to have one too many and decided to start a fight.

Dante's practiced, expressionless look suddenly changed. His eyes lowered to the concrete as they neared the bar. He hadn't said a word about Mallet Island and it definitely wasn't his favorite subject. He'd done his best to avoid her questions of where he went for that short time once he returned. The second time she questioned him on it was the last, yes he regretted his out burst but she had learned it was a subject he just wasn't comfortable with.
So why was she asking again?
"...What's there to talk about?" He grumbled as he opened the door and went inside the bar.

When Dante dismissed her question for the millionth time, Lady sighed heavily. These boys were going to drive her to an early grave.
"By your tone...I can guess there's obviously something to talk about." She snapped back at him her eyes wandering over to watch him; narrowing as they made contact with his warm blue ones. "Why won't you tell me?" The Huntress almost sounded hurt and it didn't take a genius to see that she was, but she did her best to hide it, his lack of trust in her after so many years was painful. Dante knew everything there was to know about her, had even been present during the most traumatic experience of her life, he'd seen her at her absolute worst and yet still, he hid things from her.
With another heavy sigh Lady made her way over to an empty bar stool and sat down. "This conversation isn't over.." She informed the Devil Hunter,"It's temporarily on pause.." With that, Lady ordered herself a drink, using that as an excuse to break eye contact with him for as long as possible.
