Hiraku walked down the mangled street; his eyes on the great tower Temen-Ni-Gru. The tower that connected the demon world to the human realm. There was many legends about this tower, also many rumors, he had heard. The tower had been rose one other time by Vergil Sparda one of a set of twins. Dante the other brother had fought his way up the tower to meet his brother and they fought. Vergil who in this particular battle came out victorious. But when all was said and done Dante was the victor and walked away.
Hiraku stopped his boots hitting the ground with a clunk. He felt his sword lay at rest at his side. Kouken which is a Katana he had received from his master Hiko years ago. Ying and Yang rested in their holsters on the back of Hiraku's coat. Yin which was black with a white spot on the barrel and its named carved on the left side of it. Yang was white with black where the barrel was supposed to be and its name on the right side of it.
Hiraku looked up feeling his neck pop a little as his gaze rose. He saw the top of the tower the bell figures that he had seen in text where resting on top, though he could barely make them out. Hiraku whistled "This is bigger than most buildings humans made...they could learn a thing or two..." he said laughing a little bit.
Hiraku lowered his gaze and continued walking towards the tower. His eyes went from side to side looking for people or demons of the like. There was none. They must of been cleared out he thought to himself. He finally arrived at the entrance, a big room with a even bigger door at the end of it. He started to cross the room when he sensed something. Then felt air movement change.
He leaned his body backwards; he saw a scythe cross his vision, it was crossing where his abdomen would of been. Hiraku let the blade clear then finished his lean backwards with a flip. When he landed he saw at least twenty demons they all looked the same; Covered with black cloaks their faces thin like skulls that had red glowing eyes protruding from them. All armed with scythes, grumbling.
Hiraku laughed "This must be the welcoming party for anyone who wants to check this place out." He pulled Kouken from it's sheath, and slashed the air in front of him. "This should be fun" he said as he rushed the nearest demon which was not even two yards from him, the one that had tried to slice him in half, Hiraku brought his blade up slicing its right arm the one holding the bottom of the scythe clean off. The demon screamed as Hiraku then sliced down clean through the demon. "Any other takers?" he said grinning, he had needed the exercise.

Blaze had seen the large structure from a distance and he was quite shocked that it was there. "I thought it had been sealed under ground by Sparda years ago..." the fire demon thought as he approached it. He hadn't been in the city long enough for him to hear the rumors about Temen-Ni-Gru.
When he arrived at the base of the huge tower, he could sense someone was already inside. The sounds of fighting were music to his ears. The boredom he felt for so long vanished and a smirk appeared on his face. "I guess I should join the party.." the demon chuckled to himself. His boots thudded heavily on the ground as he ran inside.
He skidded to a stop when he saw a male, demon of what he could smell, surrounded by cloth covered demons. He eyed them, his hand gripping the handle of his sword. The fire devil then remembered it was still broken and he let out a sigh. He didn't mind fighting with tooth and claw, but he would be at a disadvantage against anyone with a weapon. He would have to rely on his fighting ability and his demonic powers. The fire demon smirked and took up a battle stance. "Don't mind if I join the fight?" Blaze asked the male, a smirk on his face. His red-orange eyes seemed to flicker like a flame. Whether the male took him a friend or foe, he would have to see.

Hiraku brought his blade to his side as something caught his eye. Someone else had arrived to join the scuffle, he turned his head. It was a male person in a jacket with a weird eye color, it must be another demon. Hiraku was on edge could he be here to help them or help him. But soon he heard him ask to join the fight, he needed to keep his guard up. "I don't mind, could be fun." he said grinning, he whipped around and drove his sword through a demon that was jumping at the pair.
"You need to learn manners you ugly bastard" he said pushing the sword deeper and deeper into the demons chest. He then pulled the sword down slicing the demons body apart from the chest down. As it fell Hiraku began his charge towards another group of three who were still caught of guard. Two of the demons that were standing on the outside brought their scythes down. Hiraku pulled up his sword blocking the attack. He pushed his sword up knocking them off balance, he couldn't help but laugh. "You guys are pathetic." he said grinning.
Hiraku planned his next phase attack, he knew the middle demon couldn't attack the scythe was to long for him to do a vertical attack or a horizontal attack. He had them, he swung his sword slicing the middle one in half. Hiraku then took a step forward and pushed the body of the killed demon then spun. Slicing the other to demons and he spun. As their bodies fell, and he grinned and brought his sword down cleaning a lot of the excess blood and what seemed to be sand.
He looked over to the new comer and said "We having any fun yet? Cause I get the feeling the party is just starting". He glanced over his shoulder, their were still two groups of six demons and then one large group of twelve in the back next to the tower. "This is going to be fun..." he muttered of his breath still excited, he had needed to let go of some frustrations he had built up.

He watched the other male attack the lesser demons, impressed at his combat ability. He grinned back when he received his reply. Fighting without a weapon would be foolish of him, if he were to take on the other male by himself. And the lesser demons would just get in his way.
The fire demon sidestepped a lesser that had charged at him. Extending his hand, flames sparked from his skin and he tossed it into the middle of the group, hoping to ignite most of them. He then turned around to face the demon who had charged him. Drawing his blade, Black Dragon, he jumped up, landing on the top of the scythe the demon carried before plunging his sword right through the ugly creatures head. "Worthless," the fire demon growled, annoyed that such weaklings existed. They were only good as a warm-up, hardly worth the effort. But, the other was right. This was indeed fun. "I sure am," Blaze laughed as he slashed his blade through another, careful not to let the lesser demons' weapons strike his blade. The metal dragon's red gem eyes began to glitter like the weapon itself was happy to be used.
He glanced only briefly at this, as he found himself surrounded by the lessers. "I wouldn't get too close, sandbags. Else you'll end up like the others." The ones that had caught aflame were just a pile of ash and dust. The lessers seemed to hesitate before a brave one lunged at Blaze, scythe drawn. The corner of the fire devil's lips curved into a smirk and suddenly the brave demon was caught on fire. It made a screeching noise and ran towards Blaze. He jumped high into the air, slashing his sword at the two nearest him. The one that was on fire was quickly spreading the flames to the others.
Landing back on the ground, he quickly made a dash back towards the other male. Staying close together would be a good idea, as he had to recharge his powers. He turned to face the group. "This party.. is going to be crazy."

Hiraku only caught the tail end of the new person fighting. But from what he could tell he was good. But used his fire powers to torch a good number of demons. But really caught Hiraku's eyes was the odd blade the man was holding. It was a black blade, but appeared to be broke. Hiraku made a mental note to ask about that later, he turned back to the big group of demons. But soon felt the force of the other man arriving next to him.
Hiraku trained his eyes on him, he still didn't know this man and decided it was a good idea to keep his guard up. The comment the man made got Hiraku to smile, "and to think we are only just beginning." he said chuckling. He moved his eyes back the demons and sprang into action instantly. Ran to the first group of six that was closest to him. To greet him was two demons swinging the scythes together at him side ways, mere inches from each other. Hiraku grinned "Big mistake" he said, they made room for him to dodge.
He ducked sliding down he pointed his sword up and drove it through the demon on the rights skull. Then pulled his guns out and began to pull the triggers and fast as he could causing the left demon to look like swiss cheese before it could hit the ground. But the other demons were already moving into action. Hiraku looked up two were running for him and two others making a aerial attack. Tight situation he thought.
He pointed one gun straight up in the air and began to fire rapidly. He sheathed the other one back in it's proper holster and rolled backward keeping his gun trained on the two aerial demons, the onslaught of bullets kept them preoccupied. Hiraku pulled his sword out from the demon that it stabbed into then let up on the firing. He stood up, all the demon where on the ground now. Two still charging, he gave them a cold menacing glare and charged forward slashing the sword in his right hand in front of him all around. Slicing the two front demons to ribbons, the back two he put two bullets in each of their skulls.
He stood up dusting off the sand that had accumulated on his jacket. He then moved his glare to the back twelve demons they all still stunned at what was unfolding in front of them. "So what do you think about this back group?" he asked keeping his tone even and cold. "Split them down the middle and send them back to hell where they so rightfully belong?"

The fire devil was more interested in getting into the demonic tower, but first he had to deal with the lesser demons that blocked his way of getting in. He spotted a small alcove above the door, briefly wondering if he should leave the male here. He shook that thought away. He needed as many people to trust him as he could.
When the man asked what he thought of the group, he answered the way he felt. "Pathetic scum. Kill them." He walked toward the back group, picking up one of the slain demons' scythe to use as a weapon. He sheathed his own sword so he could hold the scythe with both hands.
The lessers seemed to hesitate as he approached, none of them daring to attack him. Blaze smirked and lunged, slicing and dicing his half of the demons into ribbons.

Hiraku noticed the man had now sheathed his odd sword and picked up a scythe. He must of finally decided that it would be better to use a intact weapon. Hiraku returned his gaze to the object of battle the big group of demons that were in front of him. All of the snarling and grimacing, Must of gotten over their companions deaths and think they can take us themselves...foolish things he thought spitting on the ground. Demons like this made him sick, mindlessly fighting having nothing in their miserable existence but to shed blood.
He closed his eyes and began to plan out a simple strategy to slaying the doomed souls in front of him. The last tactic was effect but he wasted to much energy. He would need to spend less energy slaying these last few just in case the new comer wanted to start trouble after all this was said and done. He opened his eyes into a deep red glare he was ready. He charged then through his sword straight. It peneterated the most front demon knocking it off it's stance. Hiraku took aim with his right hand, the hand that held Ying. He shot aim for the bottom of the sword. He shot, and hit it on the money, the force of the bullet shot the sword straight piercing four demons and pinning them to the ground screaming in agony.
Hiraku pulled his other pistol Yang and began shooting a rain of bullets living the other two that he needed to deal with riddled with holes that pour out sand. After their bodies hit the ground Hiraku slowed his pace. He walked over to the demons that were pinned by his sword. They were trying to make their way up the blade, Hiraku shook his head, "Fools" He said as he shot a single shot through the first ones head that continued down through the line and ricocheted off some where to Hiraku's right. Hiraku pulled the blade out of the corpses with a fluid motion.
Hiraku then glanced over his shoulder to see the new comer that had approached at the beginning of the fight. "So who are you?" he asked turned around to face him. He glanced at the sword again "You seem to have a problem with your sword...it's broken...Mind if I ask how that happened?" he asked keeping his eyes trained on the other man. He knew he would have to be careful with this man. He had some sort of power to set his foes ablaze. That would make him difficult to fight if the need arose.
He decided he should grill this person, try to fight out his intentions. "What brings to the nice and bright city of New York?" He asked in a casual tone. He didn't want it to seem like his was pressing, making this guy mad wasn't something Hiraku was aiming for.

"My sword is none of your concern," the fire devil replied, though it wasn't harsh. He didn't want to give too much away of his intentions at this point, considering they had only just met. "I will give you a name, however. Blaze."
When the male asked why he was here, he almost growled, but he held it back. He turned to face him and sighed, "This is not the place for light conversation." The devil sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair only for the crimson locks to fall back in front of his left eye. He could hear growls and groans from more demons, most likely coming from inside of the demonic tower. His gaze fell on the rust-colored door that lead to the main chamber of the tower. "The gate that leads to the demon world..." Blaze murmured to himself as he rested the palm of his right hand on the door's surface. He could feel the power of Temen-Ni-Gru pulse from it from within. Perhaps this is where he could find the power he so desperately craved?

Blaze huh he thought raising his eye brow up a little. Your a secretive one aren't you... He turned around as he heard some growling from the entrance to the Temen-Ni-Gru. More demons? Probably but the didn't seem to be able to leave their nice little hide away in the tower. Hiraku wasn't exactly looking to go into the tower any way. It was just a great sight to take in from the outside.
He took a few steps towards Blaze. Wondering what this demon's story was, but then again he probably wouldn't even need to know it. Hiraku still hadn't bothered to sheath his sword, no he wanted it out to make sure that if this guy wanted to dance Hiraku was well prepared. The wind started to picked up a slight blowing the hair out of Hiraku's eyes. His eyes where pin pointed on Blaze tracking every movement waiting for him to make a sudden move.
He was probably being a little paranoid but in his life he had learned through past experiences that being paranoid and staying un harmed was better than dropping your guard and having a knife in the back. He decided to keep the conversation flowing, "Better out here than in there where we would get distracted more." He said some playfulness in his voice. Even though he was keeping his guard up he wasn't going to be impolite...well not quite yet...

The fire devil looked up at the reddish-brown door, wondering on how to open the door. He could hear the growling and scratching from the other side of the door. He narrowed his gaze and reached for the handle, tempted to open the door and let whatever was on the other side out. He also wanted to see what the inside looked like, the power radiating from the tower much too tempting to ignore.
He put his hand down and turned around to face the other male. "Now since I told you my name, what is yours, demon?"

The new demon approached the metal door that held back the tremendous power that the Temen-Ni-Gru held back. He watched as the demon put his hand on the door handle. What are you doing? he thought his face contorting into a glare. "My name is Hiraku" he said simply. "Now may I ask what you are doing?" Hiraku knew there was a reason Sparda sealed it.
But he knew there would always be people that would open it for a variety of different reasons. So what was this man after, Hiraku didn't want to fight what was on the other side of that door but he knew he must. If he left and this fool opened the door, then the humans in this city would be left unprotected. Hiraku wasn't like that he would not leave innocent people to die.
Hiraku made a tighter grip on his sword, "Go ahead open it, have fun fighting your way up the entire tower with a broken sword." He sneered at the man. Hoping to sway him into not opening a releasing the horde of demons. But even if he did sick all of these demons on Hiraku he would have to deal with the ones inside. Not to mention the high level demons that still lurked around there.
It was now his move on what to do. Hiraku kept his wits about him and his sword at his side. This is not exactly what I thought I would be spending most my time on he thought sighing to himself in disappointment. Granted his plans weren't that exciting but he didn't want to have to be fighting well into the night because of some lunatic.

The fire devil turned around to stare at the demon he now knew as Hiraku. "...I'm not foolish to enter weaponless," Blaze stated with a smirk. He knew he would be worn out if he tried. He was about to add more when he felt trembling under his feet and his eyes widened. He took a few steps back away from the door as he looked up. He couldn't quite tell if it came from the ground or the tower, but he did not it think would be wise to stay any longer if it was an earthquake. If it came from the tower, he would fight whatever came out of it protect human lives. He had grown soft for them, he knew. "I'll answer why I am here, later. It seems there is trouble brewing beneath our feet."

Buildings began to crumble behind him, Hiraku looked down at the ground. Even though he knew his luck wasn't going to hold out, he prayed that it wasn't anything to bad. But he knew he would never hold up. His legs began to wobble under the shaking ground. He looked at Blaze "Do you know what is causing this?" he asked.
His eyes narrowed "I am not in the mood for this crap..." he muttered under his breath. Stabbing his sword in the ground Hiraku then used it as a stabilizer so he didn't fall from the ground starting to shake harder.

The fire devil shook his head 'no'. By the cracking of buildings he heard somewhere behind him, he knew it was an earthquake, but something was odd about it. He had heard the demons had caused many an earthquake in the past few months and he was sure that this was the cause of the one happening now.
To prevent himself from falling over, he grabbed onto the only thing that wasn't moving: the tower. He could feel its pulse stronger now, the demon activity picking up. "Great..." Blaze grumbled as he held onto the door. His inhuman senses began to pick up the strong aura of a greater demon and he groaned. This was not what they needed right now.
Suddenly, several minor demons burst from the opening the earthquake had made in the crust of the earth, more than a few spreading out into the city. He could spot Hellhounds and Frosts, as well as a few Plasmas. Most of them were what they had fought not even minutes ago, the 7 Sins. The aura he sensed was not among them and he knew the city was in great danger.
He no longer heard the growling and groaning from behind the door and he opened it without hesitation, though he did have great difficulty in opening with the ground constantly shifting. He figured they would be safer in there than with all the demons out there.

Hiraku was starting to get used to the shifting earth beneath him. Roughly gaining his balance, he pulled his sword from the ground. This was becoming a nuisance. He needed to find a way to get to stable ground if he expected to fight efficiently. Then the sense of a strong demon shot through. Hiraku didn't know how he couldn't of sensed it before but it was here now. He would have to kick him self later for missing it after all the training he did. He would need to sit back down and hone his skills again. It had been a while since he had trained his mind. He spent so much time training his reflexes and body that he completely forgot about his mind.
Then the demons appeared, they were small ones but still there was many of them. Strength in numbers. If it wasn't for the massive earthquake Hiraku would barely break a sweat with them. But since it was there he would have to work twice as hard keeping his balance and compensate for the push and pull of the ground. Even at his full speed and strength could he manage taking all of these demons while this is going on. He glared at them his red eyes piercing each and every demon trying to figure out if any of the demons held the power that he sensed. They didn't though which still meant the demon was underground more likely or not going to destroy the city.
Hiraku needed to help but couldn't think what to do. If the thing was as big as it felt, then it would defiantly be difficult. But he would need help to take it plus these annoying things on. But he heard the door open from behind him. He whirled around to see Blaze walking in the tower. Does he want in that tower so bad, he would let this city burn... Hiraku thought hoping he was wrong. But Blaze did have the right idea, the tower could be safer than out here right now. Hiraku dashed into the tower behind Blaze. He looked into the empty circular room to see no demons in sight, they must of came outside. Hiraku turned around to face Blaze, they needed to figure out what to do from here. They couldn't take the time to climb the tower.
"What should we do...that thing out there will level the city if we don't do something" He said sheathing his sword, for the time being they had the same goal and needed to work together. Hiraku couldn't be paranoid and over cautious like he was being.
