It wasn't until the noise in the small area had gotten out of hand and way louder than was appropriate when others were around that Lady snapped. Enough was enough. Without a seconds hesitation the Huntress was on her feet and making her way towards the only two people standing in the building. Which was ironic because they were ones making the least noise, the ones responsible for the majority of the noise were at the table of pre-teens in the other direction, but these two however were attracting the most attention with their... peculiar.. appearances, which in turn was causing more noise.
"Hey, in case you hadn't noticed some of us are trying to enjoy our meals in peace and you guys are attracting a crowd, so either sit back down and shut the hell up or take this somewhere else." said Lady not bothering to sound the least bit polite, it was obvious that she was informing them of their options rather than asking."Oh, and f.y.i... your fly is open, kid. Fix it." Lady added casually.
As she turned to walk away something quickly stopped her dead in her tracks, slowly, ever so slowly she turned to face the tallest of the two standing before her, looking past the teen at the man standing not two feet away from her with eyes she could recognize anywhere. She had seen them many times in her dreams, they were the same eyes that belonged to her son and to his uncle, whom she was unable to make eye contact with for long periods of time, it was bad enough that they shared the same features but to be forced to look into those brilliantly blue eyes on a regular basis as well was too much even for her. "V-vergil? Lady whispered any and all breath leaving her body quickly. In that moment nothing else mattered, no one else was present, the background seemed to melt away and all she could see was Vergil. Even in his current state of disarray he somehow managed to caused her heart beat to quicken in her chest.
There were so many unanswered questions, where had he been all this time when she thought him dead? How had he managed to escape? Then there the matter of his son, whom he wasn't even aware of in the first place. How would he handle that? Lady wanted to wrap her arms around him and pull him closer, if only for a little while but instead, she settled for standing there in awkward silence, frozen to the spot and staring as if she were watching him mutate before her very eyes. This was going to be a long night indeed.

Vergil scowled darkly as he regarded the boy in front of him. " Is that a fact? I'm surprised he mentioned me at all," the eldest son of Sparda practically spat out. icy blue eyes rolled and a small snort came from the devil as he was questioned about being dead. " Not anymore," he replied vaguely, just to irritate the brat as much as he was being irritated.
Vergil was about to lay into this idiot who had dared to interrupt his meal when he noticed the odd appearance of the stranger's right arm. ' That's different.' He eyed the appendage with suspicion, wondering just what the explanation for it was and more importantly, why it was glowing that way. " Just get out of here," Vergil snorted in annoyance.
The half devil was about to shoo the brat away and go back to his meal when a soft voice calling out his name stopped him in his tracks. His gaze shifted over to land on a woman with dark hair and... mismatched eyes? Vergil frowned slightly as he took in the sight before him from the all too familiar eyes to the dark hair flipped out above the shoulders and the same scar across her nose. But, it couldn't be. Not tonight, not after all of this time. " .... Mary?"

Nero promptly zipped up his fly, glad his hair covered his ears enough to conceal the pink shade that they had just darkened into. 'Why does everyone insist on calling me 'kid' here...'
He glared after the woman when she turned to leave, and fully intended to continue his conversation with Vergil however the man disliked him, until he saw her turn back toward them. The stunned disbelief written across her face make him hesitate, confused.
"Hey, are you okay, lady?" he asked.

"Vergil..." Lady said again now sounding a bit more confident in her assumption. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't tear her gaze away from him, by the looks of it Vergil had one hell of a story to tell and there would be time for that, later. Right now she wanted to know what was going on and if this was really happening and not all part of her imagination. She would crack and imagine a reunion of this sort inside of a crappy fast food joint.
Had she not been so stunned by this entire situation she might have heard the white haired teenager words clearly, but in her current shock his words merely merged together momentarily snapping her out of her daze. "What?" Lady said turning her head to glance his way so she could get a good look at him now that she was close enough. Duo colored eyes examined the young teen for longer than deemed appropriate, his face all too familiar but somehow different.
White hair wasn't exactly a 'common' feature in the human realm, there were only two people in this entire realm whom had snow white hair and eyes as blue as his. If he wasn't one of the Sons of Sparda then he must be related to them in some....Lady's eyes widened at the realization even she was too bewildered to believe herself, but, now that they were standing side by side, with the exact same facial expression.. " What's..your name?" Lady inquired now speaking in softer more nurturing tones without realizing. She didn't want to frighten the boy away but she needed to know as much about him as possible. Mostly to prove to herself how outrageous her current theory was. This was a dream, it had to be. Without thinking she reached a hand out to gingerly touch a strand of the young boy's hair, if only to confirm this was real for herself. It was.

Vergil stared at Lady as if he was looking at a ghost. She'd aged, quite nicely in his opinion, but it was definitely her. As he looked at her the half devil found he had no idea what to say to her though. The brat was nearly forgotten as he looked over the woman from head to toe and pursed his lips in thought. ' I can't believe this is happening...'
Vergil was snapped back to reality when Lady seemed to finally really notice the boy who had been harassing him, and his eyebrows rose a bit in surprise as he watched the interactions between the two. Lady had a strange, unidentifiable look on her face and the way she was touching the boy's hair and staring at him... it made Vergil feel like he was missing something here, especially since Lady didn't seem to know him.

Nero flinched away from the strange woman's hand out of reflex before he realized that she was simply trying to touch his hair. Which was, admittedly, weird for it's own reasons, but didn't seem to pose an immediate danger.
"Uh..." he hesitated, unsure what exactly she wanted from him when just a moment ago she had been giving them an angry piece of her mind, but he answered with slow hesitation, "My name's Nero."

"Nero..." Lady trailed off. She half expected him to have the same name but why would he? It wasn't exactly common knowledge and he had obviously been raised someplace else by someone other people."Wait, Dante's Nero from that mission last year?" Lady added quickly almost completely forgetting why she was questioning him in the first place. Oh, she had heard all about that mission in Fortuna, she being the one who assigned it to him in the first place, when she agreed to hand over the job she had not expected it to turn out the way it did. Dante made sure to remind her whenever possible. The teen wasn't exactly what she had expected but he wasn't at all the 'spoiled little punk' Dante made him out to be. Although she could see where his frustration with the teen stemmed from. He remind him of his own teen years and he found that annoying, the same way everyone else did, just as he was reminding her of the first time she met Dante right now.
"And your mother and father...have they always lived in Fortuna?" Now she was getting too personal, she could feel it but her growing curiosity was overwhelming. "I'm Lady by the way. I work with Dante, or rather, he works for me." In her search for more information Mary had completely forgotten that the long lost father of her child, who was still unaware of it's existence, was standing right there. How she was planning on sharing the news of their sons birth and disappearance she had no idea.

Vergil scowled deeply as he watched the exchange. 'Don't worry, it's not like I was expecting a parade or anything,' he snorted to himself as he stared at the pair. Lady seemed far too invested in this boy for what was normal, and even though she attempted to give some explanation to the brat, Vergil still found it... suspicious, to say the least. The way she was staring at him was as if the woman had recovered a precious jewel from prying hands and didn't want to let it go. It was weird... and making him a bit annoyed that he was basically forgotten about after they'd so rudely interrupted his dinner.

To be fair, though, Nero was altogether more surly than Dante had been at that age, and did not have nearly as much of a thrill-seeking death wish.
He looked at Lady suspiciously, not really knowing what to think even after she had told him she knew Dante. Dante certainly knew a lot of women (a good number of which grated on Nero's nerves) but he hadn't been in town long enough to have met Lady yet, though he may have heard Dante complain about her once or twice.
"I don't have parents," Nero said after a moment in answer to her question, "Though I'm not sure how that's any of your business...?"

Oh it was her business alright, in more ways than she could explain without sounding like a complete lunatic. As a sane woman with a good head on her shoulders she realized how absurd this all was; especially the thoughts that were currently floating around inside of her head. All that was left was for her father to come waltzing in dressed like that jester for her night to be completely made. Even if she knew that wasn't going to happen Lady glanced quickly at the door anyway just to make sure, with the way her night was going she half expected all the ghosts from her past to suddenly appear.
"I'm sorry to hear that.." There wasn't really much she could say to make this already uncomfortable conversation bearable in any way. "It's good to see you..." Lady said after a brief moment of silence her eyes wandering back over to Vergil. This was stupid, and she mentally scolded herself for not coming up with something better to say after so long but what was she supposed to say?

Vergil's eye twitched slightly in irritation as he watched the scene unfold before him. Lady had changed since he was gone, but she was never this socially awkward. And what was with the way she was eyeing that boy like a long lost dog that had come trotting back home? He didn't like it. Not one bit.
The half devil snorted softly when Lady's attention returned to him. "Likewise," he replied truthfully. Of course he hadn't forgotten about their past together, but he was entirely unsure of where they stood now, and being completely cold and aloof might not be beneficial to him in the long run. "You look well," he commented, trying to break the tension if only slightly.
The half devil had many questions for Lady and this 'Nero' brat, but he wasn't keen on getting neck-deep into whatever unspoken drama they had.

It was obvious that the two had a lot of catching up to do but doing so in such a public place did not seem like the best idea; not only did she not want to air her dirty laundry in front of complete strangers, but discussing the topic of monsters and demons with two white haired males who already looked peculiar was sure to attract more attention than she wanted.
While Lady wasn't entirely sure how comfortable she felt discussing anything with Vergil while Nero was around her need to know as much of his history as he was willing to share was overpowering. She supposed, she could always pull Vergil aside privately for a few minutes if the teen chose to follow.
"We should find someplace else to finish this conversation. If you have the time that is. I..have something important that I should probably tell you..." It hadn't occurred to her that this probably wasn't the best time to discuss such important matters, Lady had obviously interrupted him in the middle of his dinner and for all she knew he had something far more important to tend to afterwards. What could be more important than a long lost son she didn't know, but it was rude of her to assume he had the time to spare without asking. "You can finish your food first.." Lady added feeling guilty about keeping him from his meal.

Now that was a surprise. Vergil had to admit he was more curious than he probably should be about whatever it was she wanted to tell him. It must be serious if she didn't want to just say it, the woman was never one to hold her tongue without a good reason. "Very well..." he replied with a small nod. Whatever it was he could listen for a few minutes, all things considered. If it was a waste of his time then he could always just leave.
The half devil glanced back at the half eaten food on the table and grimaced. "I've lost my appetite," he replied curtly. It was hard to be hungry anymore with some haughty little brat and a woman he hadn't seen in nearly twenty years breathing down his neck. And he certainly didn't want to be stared at anymore while he was trying to have dinner. "Shall we?" he said and motioned to the door. Vergil would just have to follow her since he had nowhere to go except his dingy hotel room and he really didn't want the two of them there.
Vergil gave Nero a disapproving look before he sighed and shook his head. "I suppose you're not going to go away if I ask you to," he said more as a statement than as a question. Tonight was going to be a long night.

Nero was not entirely sure what was happening here. He might have ventured a guess, but it was too strange for him to want to think about it too in-depth.
Instead, he folded his arms and smirked up at Vergil, shrugging, "I think I'll tag along. Seems like Lady here wants to talk to me too."

To be completely honest, Lady had secretly been counting on some form of excuse from Vergil to post pone this conversation. The brunette wasn't entirely sure whether she was as ready to divulge such a life altering event as she once thought, especially one she was almost certain would result in a negative reaction, but now it seemed like she had no choice. No matter what he chose to do with the information he received Vergil still deserved to know.
"There's a park just down the street we can go to. It's almost always empty..." Lady said as she collected her things and headed out the door. By this point, she too had lost her appetite, not that she had much of her meal left to eat anyway.
